AGP-E water reduction - Gostyń, Poland

Our Glass facility in Gostyń, Poland, reduced their water consumption by 15% between 2017 and 2018. The team implemented a number of measures to achieve this reduction including:

• The installation of a logout – tag-out system with reserve valves for cooling water at the glass forming machines in emergency situations when there is greater demand.

• Replacement of the installation for social and closed loop water as the previous system was damaged resulting in water loss.

• The water filtration system in the water treatment facility now has mechanical filters that do not require rinsing.

• The installation of new ionsodium exchangers for water softening has resulted in a decrease in the demand for water.
