The mission of Ardagh for Education is to give back to the communities we operate in through high-quality Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education.
We make an impact by upskilling teachers through high-quality training and providing students with hands-on, engaging, STEM learning experiences to enhance their technical abilities and equip them with in-demand, 21st-century skills.
By investing broadly across our communities, we are reaching the most underserved students at all age levels, creating opportunities for employee engagement, attracting young and diverse talent into STEM pathways, and, most importantly, having a strong, positive impact on our people and our communities.
Our impact
Ardagh for Education is on track to bring hands-on, engaging, STEM learning experiences to over one million students, upskill 10,000 teachers, in over 2,500 schools over a ten-year period.
Our communities
Our investment in our local schools allows Ardagh to positively impact the teachers and students participating in the programme, while also supporting the growth of the local economy and community over the long term, benefitting both our current and future workforce.
- To date, we have made investments in 500 schools across 40 Ardagh communities.
- We are on track to invest in more than 1,000 schools over the first five years of the Ardagh for Education programme.
- We expect to invest in more than 2,500 schools over a 10-year period.
Our educators
Our programme is only possible with great educators. That is why we provide our teachers with high-quality, in-depth training and resources, with access to continuous support and professional development. These teachers will reach millions of students for years to come.

- We are on track to upskill more than 5,000 teachers over the first five years of the Ardagh for Education programme.
- We expect to upskill 10,000 teachers over a 10-year period.
Our students
We provide our students with hands-on, engaging, STEM learning experiences that enhance their technical abilities and equip them with in-demand, 21st century skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
Our programme is introduced to students in early childhood education through secondary school and beyond, preparing our learners for the “real world”.
- To date, we have reached 100,000 students across our communities.
- We are on track to reach more than 500,000 students over the first five years of the Ardagh for Education programme.
- We expect to reach over one million students over a 10-year period.
Our future
Our programme aims to instil a passion for STEM from an early age, which will bring a new generation of creative problem solvers into the STEM space. We are nurturing future scientists, engineers, and innovators through world-class STEM learning experiences and empowering young people to succeed in a complex, global society.

Germany
Partnering with Wissensfabrik, we are committing €5 million over 10 years to impact an estimated 300 schools, 1,000 teachers, and 200,000 students in Ardagh’s German communities.
United States
Partnering with PLTW, we are committing $50 million over 10 years to impact an estimated 2,000 schools, 5,000 teachers, and 500,000 students in Ardagh’s U.S. communities.
Brazil
Partnering with SESI, we are committing $5 million over 10 years to impact an estimated 200 schools, 2,500 teachers, and 200,000 students in Ardagh’s Brazilian communities.
