Ardagh Glass Limmared

The founder of our Limmared facility, Lieutenant Colonel Gustaf Ruthensparre, constructed it on his farm ‘Limmareds’ in the Tranemo parish of Sweden.

From the beginning, production was aimed at simpler objects such as bottles, drinking glasses and pharmacy glasses, but in 1744 an engraver was hired and as a result, a rich production of first-class tableware glasses was produced in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Ardagh Glass Limmared is part of Ardagh Group – a global leader in glass packaging, producing award-winning, sustainable glass bottles and jars for some of the world’s most influential brands.

We are the only glass packaging producer in the Nordic region. Our aim is to create sustainable packaging solutions in Sweden, not only for Sweden and other Nordic countries but for all countries to which our customers export food and beverage products packed in glass.

Ardagh provides glass packaging in various shapes and designs for some of the world’s leading brewers, from its Nordic production facilities. We offer several different decoration options for our glass bottle manufacturing including pressure-sensitive labelling, embossing, coating, steam sleeving and screen printing. Glass food jars

Glass cider bottles

As Europe’s leading glass bottle manufacturer, Ardagh supplies cider bottles in a range of sizes and shapes. The insulation qualities of our glass bottles keep the cider cool and fresh. Available in predominantly brown and green, these colours block a significant amount of UV light, protecting the cider’s flavour.
