No stress, no fuss: Kiss of Wine cans

Wine occasions will be more relaxing than ever, thanks to new wine can subscription service Kiss of Wine. Embracing all the advantages of the Ardagh Wine Can, the service marries super-simple wine selection with the frictionless ease of home delivery, taking convenience to a whole new level.

Germany-based Kiss of Wine aims to remove any qualms customers may have about traditionally choosing and drinking wine. The 250ml slim cans, in a light and attractive pale gold, showcase clever designs with fun names to help consumers match wines to any mood or occasion with confidence. The quality wines – iconic European varietals sourced from small, independent winemakers – are available through a delivery service which customers can tailor to their own level of adventurousness, up to the fully mixed box of all eight styles: Zesty (Riesling), Feisty (Nebbiolo), Chill (Grenache rosé), Wild (Dolcetto), Crisp (Sauvignon blanc), and Smooth (Chardonnay), with sparkling versions of Chill and Zesty finishing the list in a party mood.

Ardagh’s special Wine Can is the natural choice for such a consumer-friendly innovation, offering portability and convenience while guaranteeing great taste. As Ardagh’s Wine Can story shows, the uniquely designed Wine Can is particularly attractive to a new generation of wine drinkers who want to include wine in casual occasions, and who don’t necessarily want to open a full bottle, carry glassware while out and about, or impose their own favourite wine on a group. Adding in their lightness and shatterproof qualities, cans are ideal for Kiss of Wine’s home delivery service.

“Wine drinks are so delicate that we developed a special can for wine that guarantees taste and quality,” says Adriana Escobar, Product Manager at Ardagh Group’s European Metal Beverage business unit. “We also provide compatibility testing and filling support for our Wine Can customers, all of which makes sure the organoleptic properties of the wine are preserved throughout the entire product shelf-life, with no compromise.”

Jennifer Browarczyk, co-founder at Kiss of Wine, says: “After speaking to lots of clever winemakers and canning experts, we specifically sourced top quality wines with the acidity and freshness profiles that we knew would work beautifully when packaged in Ardagh’s Wine Cans. The 250ml format means you can try a few different styles, and match different occasions, without needing to open multiple bottles.”

As the most recycled beverage packaging in the world, made from infinitely recyclable metal, cans are perfect for a circular economy and appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers. Cans are highly logistically efficient – a 250ml can accounts for just 5% of total product weight, increasing the volume of wine a truck can carry, which in turn lowers overall transport costs. Kiss of Wine are already delivering to Germany and the UK, and will expand to Scandinavia in early 2021.
