Ardagh Group Unites the Qualities of Glass and Metal for Craft Brewers at CBC 2017

Ardagh Group announced today it will debut its glass and metal packaging beer portfolio together for the first time in the U.S. at the 2017 Craft Brewers Conference/BrewExpo America (Booth #1935).

The Craft Brewers Conference represents the first opportunity to highlight the expansion of Ardagh’s metal packaging category to encompass a full range of beverage cans, ends and finishes, alongside its glass beer bottles in the United States.

Infinitely recyclable without loss of quality, glass and metal packaging are united via their unique status as permanent materials. This packaging conglomeration offers the convenience of a single source for any craft brewer, offering the widest selection in glass and metal packaging solutions from one of the world’s largest packaging companies.

With 15 glass manufacturing facilities and eight metal beverage manufacturing facilities, Ardagh Group offers full coverage for craft brewers in North America.

“Ardagh Group is dedicated to the craft beer market with capabilities and resources to grow with craft brewers every stage of the way,” said John Orr, Vice President of Craft Beer Sales for Ardagh Group’s North American Glass division. “Whether craft brewers need glass bottles or metal cans, we’ve got them covered.”

Ardagh Group’s glass and metal beer portfolio offers craft brewers increased flexibility for their offerings. In bottles, the company offers a range of sizes from 12 oz to 64 oz bottles with a choice of pry-off, twist, or cork combination finishes, in a variety of styles, including long neck, short neck or specialty bottles. In metal beverage cans, the company provides a wide array of sizes and functionality, from 8 oz to 24 oz standard packages, as well as a sleek portfolio from 7.5 oz to 12 oz to enable further differentiation on retail shelves.

“We are proud and excited to align with the glass division to provide craft brewers the choice of metal or glass in determining a full product and service solution to help build their brand and business,” said Joanna Novak, Vice President of Sales, Ardagh Group – Metal Beverage North America. “This is just the beginning as Ardagh takes strong steps in realizing our vision of becoming the preferred packaging partner to the world’s leading brands.”

For more than 125 years, Ardagh Group has been producing innovative glass bottles in the U.S., and is one of the leading glass suppliers to the U.S. beer market. Our beverage can roots can be traced back to the turn of the 20th century, as we have targeted innovation and continuous improvement to position the beverage can as a model of efficiency and sustainability.

Ardagh Group will showcase its craft beer packaging solutions in booth #1935 at next week’s Craft Brewers Conference/BrewExpo America at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from April 11-13, 2017.
