Ardagh Direct Accelerates Growth with a New Napa Office to Better Service Wineries

Ardagh Group, Glass – North America, a division of Ardagh Group (NYSE: ARD) and a leading producer of glass containers for the food and beverage industries in the United States, today announced the opening of a new Napa office to better service its Ardagh Direct customers.

In January, Ardagh Group launched its Ardagh Direct program to provide wineries of all sizes, located West of the Rocky Mountains, the option to purchase glass wine bottles directly from Ardagh Group, Glass – North America, the only glass wine bottle manufacturer to produce all of its wine bottles in the U.S.

“The decision to expand our presence in the Napa Valley was a logical step in Ardagh Direct’s business growth strategy,” said Jeff Oberti, Vice President of Sales for Ardagh Direct. “The area is one of the world’s premier viticulture regions and our office, centrally located within the heart of the wine producing region in California, will provide wineries with access to Ardagh Direct’s sales and customer support teams, allowing them to meet face-to-face with us and visit our office to view product offerings.”

Unique to the U.S. market, Ardagh Direct is the first and only option for wineries to purchase high-quality, American-made glass wine bottles direct from Ardagh Group in a variety of sizes, colors and styles with the flexibility to order less than truckload (LTL) quantities.

“The Ardagh Direct team has years of experience servicing wineries in the western U.S. and Canada and has the knowledge, along with the resources, to work alongside wineries to evaluate their needs, deliver the level of service expected and offer a product line that is relevant to the marketplace,” said Oberti.

In addition to the new Napa office, Ardagh Group operates a full-service one-million-square-foot distribution facility in Fairfield, California and is the largest repack center in the region designed to meet all of the bottling and distribution needs of West Coast wineries.
