Ardagh Group will be showcasing the world’s first limited edition spirit Bottle that has recently made packaging history, and its award winning collaboration with a fashion icon at Brau 2012 (Hall 4A - Stand 215).
The company will also be showing a whole range of packaging solutions aimed at maximising sustainability, shelf stand-out, convenience and value. Visitors will be able to learn about products and facilities from three businesses acquired by Ardagh over the past 12 months, formerly known as Anchor Glass Container Corporation and Leone Industries in the USA, and Boxal in France.
Some of the team behind the pioneering ABSOLUT UNIQUE will explain how they helped to create a limited edition of nearly four million uniquely designed and individually decorated bottles.
Each bottle in this vibrant and eye catching collection has a different colour coating and pattern as well as its own unique label number, giving consumers an opportunity to choose a truly personalised and individually packaged product. A truly breath-taking packaging achievement.
Equally stunning is the award winning impact extruded 25cl aluminium bottle manufactured by Ardagh for Coca Cola’s tie-up with fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier.
The exciting bottle combines beauty and the lightweight form of aluminium. The solid pure white basecoat offers a premium printing surface for the high definition offset printing for optimal visual rendering. The background colour of the pink flesh, a critical design element that showcases the bottle as unique and special, has been particularly admired.
There are many examples of lightweight wine, beer and spirit bottles together with specialty premium containers, including complex shapes and intricate embossing. All containers are available in a wide variety of different colours available from Ardagh's in house decoration facilities that offer coating, sleeving, printing, and labelling.
Metal packaging products to look out for include the award winning Maxi Can, a 3.1 litre keg designed to be kept in the fridge, with easy access to allow the beer to be easily tapped, and Top Keg Plus, with an adjustable flow rate and foam formation, where beer remains fresh after opening for 30 days by using a CO2 cartridge.
Ardagh’s range of 100ml 2piece, 300ml and 500ml 3piece re-sealable lightweight aluminium bottle cans are commercially available in Europe through a strategic alliance between Ardagh Group and Daiwa Can, Japan. Together with the 170ml 3piece welded and shaped re-sealable steel WORC (Wide Open Re-sealable Can) bottle, with pilfer proof closure and printable on both body and cap, they provide an attractive range of options for brand owners.
With 100 manufacturing plants in 25 countries, employing approximately 17,000 people generating global sales in excess of Eur 4.1 billion, Ardagh is a global leader in rigid packaging, producing metal and glass containers for most of the world's leading beverage, food and consumer care brands.
