Sustainability considerations
for any product are extremely broad and complex. Focusing on single issues, such as carbon or
water footprints is not accurate in decision making.
Therefore at industry level, Ardagh Group has supported detailed LCA
assessments for both glass and metal packaging. These are very comprehensive studies
and are the primary reference in assessing the sustainability of packaging
materials.
